Chapter 1: Critical Thinking through Reading, Viewing, and Writing
This chapter point out the ways which improve effectively student’s techniques for reading, viewing, and writing. The author shows strategies by describing step by step. Using SQ3R which are survey, question, read, recite and review illustrate how to read better. Also, giving images to picture and to interpret both are important processes of viewing. A student should take note or map while reading to help you understand clearly the story. When a student follows these ways to improve your reading, it effects to your writing skill because a student has to open your mind, ask questions and brainstorm to organize your writing. For writing, a student should to reorganize a sentence or story by using your own words which thinks through analysis, synthesis, evaluation and application.
